In 2019 we’ll be bringing live music to Friday night to celebrate the start of Cotswold Beer Festival. We’re delighted to welcome the Langan Band who’ll bring some progressive folk, dance and gypsy swing to raise the rafters. Beware of their high energy, unhinged, and musically extravagant taking of traditional acoustic styles and delivering them with abandonment and virtuosic flare. What a way to start the weekend.
On Saturday’s Family Fayre you can look forward some of the best summer music fun and Jazz. For those enjoying the gardens we have our wandering troubadour Double Bass Dan and Friends play music from the streets, fields, gardens, pubs, and festivals. He’s ready to induct you into joyous thumping bass and good times.
For those in the barn we some playful musical interpretations from Tewkesbury Town Band and later on some of the best trad-jazz to be had. Liberty Street Stompers return to a rapturous applause so lift your summer pint and let the great music to lift your soul?
Outside the barn there’s plenty of space for picnics and relaxing and a few pick-me-ups of coffee, ice cream. And it’s not a British summer without Morris dancers inviting all of the family to join the revelry. Happenstance are back to entertain and gently take the uninitiated by the hand and lead them a merry Morris dance.
And to keep the kids entertained further, there is face painting and a bouncy castle on Saturday afternoon.
On Sunday – travelling from the East we have a second Morris side joining the the festival fun. No one need miss this pagan tradition this year.
